Chia Seeds - The Ultimate Superfood April 21 2015

Have you discovered the benefits and versatility of Chia seeds yet?  I have been adding 1 – 2 tablespoons a day to my diet and love them.

I found this great infographic on Natural News.  I love many of these infographics that are appearing online – they are such a brilliant way to give us a quick ‘overview’ on the benefits of different products and foods.

At the bottom of the infographic is a recipe “Chia Fresca”.  I have been having a Chia Fresca every afternoon (substituting the agave/honey with Xylitol).  For the past 6 weeks I have completely eliminated all sugar and carbs (white flour, high starch veges etc.) and certainly feel much better for it (and have lost weight too – which always makes a woman smile!).  Xylitol is very low in calories, has zero carbs (sugars), fat, protein and is great when you need a ‘sweet’ fix.
